The Entrepreneur’s Mindset – The Secret to Consistent Success

Entrepreneurs are uncommon people. I love their approach and their mindset. Every entrepreneur is inspirational to me because at some point they had to overcome a mountain that was threatening to destroy them.  From the multi-millionaires to the multi-billionaires, they tend to all subscribe to similar values and principles. Over the years, I have ended up studying more than 50 entrepreneurs both offline and online.

The results from this study were very conclusive. Entrepreneurs operate from a different paradigm. Let’s take a look at a few points that will help us understand the inner structures of every entrepreneur.

Entrepreneurs have a strong sense of purpose. They usually have a vision that is far bigger than them. They know that they are here on earth to contribute something. As long as this remains unaccomplished they live with a perpetual frustration that will haunt them till they take some kind of action.

Curiosity is cultivated and cherished. “Curiosity kills the cat”, we say. I remember growing up knowing that being too curious was not such a good thing. Well, this is part of the “limitation” programming that has kept many from exploring and testing unknown waters. With entrepreneurs, it’s as if this condition has been erased or has never existed. They enjoy taking risks where nobody else dares to go. They study societal trends, and they are constantly a step ahead in their reasoning. They are not always right, but they hate being part of the mass.

Entrepreneurs are incredible action takers. While many sit and talk about what they are going to do, there are others out there who just go out and get things done. These guys do not suffer from paralysis of analysis - they don’t overanalyse everything. They simply take massive action, and it is no surprise that they end up with massive results.

Entrepreneurs are not afraid to be alone. They are incredible risk takers, and they can withstand the pressure of being the only ones to think a certain way. They are not scared of being independent, and they are certainly not afraid to fail either. Like Bill Gates once said “It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure”

Even though entrepreneurs know how to stand on their own, they also know how to build mastermind groups. They are always interested in seeking out like minded individuals with whom they can compare and exchange ideas. Mastermind groups have been growing in popularity over the recent years because the benefits of membership have catapulted many to incredible wealth. If you do your research, you will uncover countless joint ventures and mastermind groups among Internet marketers, real estate investors, Forex traders and every other entrepreneurial group you can imagine. They have understood that the power of networking can never be underestimated.

So, do you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur? In all honesty, that’s a question that only you can answer. Don’t worry if you do not recognize yourself in any of the above mentioned points. The real secret to becoming one is to simply mirror their habits. They were not born that way; they simply became what they are today. Remember, it is who you are that determines what you do, and not what you do that determines who you are
